Teaching Students How to Build a Self-Driving RC Car

During my time at the Center for Autonomy, I have served as an instructor at Del Valle High School, guiding students through the design, construction, and programming of an autonomous RC car. The course serves as an entry point into STEM careers, integrating concepts from control theory, sensor fusion, and AI decision-making. Students also visited the Texas Robotics Lab for demonstrations — including drone flight and robotic dog interactions — followed by open discussions about STEM career paths and the future of autonomous systems.
